A mother blessing ceremony is to nurture, honour and support the birthing woman as she enters matrescence. This ritual is derived from ancient ceremonies across the world, which celebrate a woman’s rite of passage into motherhood.

The ceremony creates a space of peace where the women is surrounded by her community in a sacred circle. With the support of love, she is held emotionally, spiritually and mentally as she prepares for her birth and postpartum journey. This is an empowering experience.

Ceremonies are uniquely designed for each woman and include a planning consultation, the circle ceremony and group activities/ rituals. Blessings are usually held in the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy.

Honour your birthing journey with a mother blessing ceremony and intimate portrait session in your home, either pregnancy or postpartum.
